Bonjour à tous. Un peu de frais en Normandie nous fait un bien fou, de quoi me donner envie de vous parler de la méthode 5-10-15.

Souvent mise en avant par les pédiatres et mise en accusation par les parents, j’ai voulu comprendre cette méthode.

Dans un premier temps, le commencement. Mini-Crabe a fait ses nuits à 15 jours, un vrai bonheur, des grosses nuits de 12 heures, nous n’avons jamais eu de souci, sauf pour les poussées dentaires ou petites maladies.

Puis, comme à chaque fois que je vais chez mes parents, c’est difficile, elle a peur et dort pendant 4,5 ou 6 jours avec moi.

Généralement, le retour à la maison est difficile mais au bout de 48 heures elle est rassurée et tout redevient normal.

Sauf que là, c’était bien différent.

Il y a 2 semaines quand nous sommes rentrées, les crises se faisaient de plus en plus grosses.

Mini-Crabe ne s’endormait pas avant 23h ou 00h et c’était des hurlements jusqu’à ce que je dorme avec elle dans son lit de bébé (je ne vous raconte pas l’état de mes jambes..)

Un, deux, trois, au bout de 4 jours de fatigue, d’énervement et de stress j’ai pris conseil auprès de mon pédiatre.

Il m’a alors conseillé d’appliquer la méthode 5-10-15.

La méthode consiste à rassurer bébé, le coucher, lui donner son doudou, enfin faire le rituel du coucher puis partir et fermer la porte.

Si il est pas bien, on y retourne 5 min après et on recommence puis, on referme la porte et on réattend 10 min puis pour finir 15 min.

Oui, facile dit comme cela, sauf que je n’ai jamais laissé pleurer ma fille en 17 mois !

Je suis le genre de mère qui rassure, console et qui ne supporte pas que son enfant soit mal.

Je suis sortie du pédiatre en me disant ” tu peux toujours courir avec ta méthode”.

Puis le soir venu, rebelote, la crise fut de plus en plus sérieuse et là je me suis vraiment inquiétée car plus que les hurlements, c’est le stress qu’elle ressentait qui m’a vraiment fait de la peine.

Alors, j’ai pris mon courage à deux mains, la tête fixée sur l’horloge de mon pc et j’ai appliqué la méthode.

5 minutes longues mais supportables.

 J’y retourne et je ressors, 10 min atroces, tellement longues. Heureusement, mon conjoint m’a beaucoup aidée et ensuite 15 min et là terrible, un déchirement, j’ai fait une crise d’angoisse tellement les pleurs furent difficiles à supporter.

J’ouvre la porte, je lui remets la tétine et le doudou puis je referme la porte et la miracle plus rien !!

Le lendemain fut bien plus calme, au bout de 10 min, c’était le dodo et maintenant c’est fini, c’est un bébé bien calme et apaisé que je retrouve le soir.

Alors, je peux vous dire que vraiment j’ai souffert. 

C’est difficile de se dire que l’enfant peut trouver du réconfort dans un stress qui ne le rassure pas.

Cependant, je pense vraiment que cette solution mérite qu’on s’y attarde. Effectivement les laisser dans ce stress de “sans papa et maman, j’ai peur” ce n’est pas bon pour eux.

Dans un premier temps pour leur sommeil mais aussi pour leur développement personnel.
