Bonjour les petits loups. Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais partager avec vous le premier mois que nous avons passé entre la maison et l’hôpital suite à l’hospitalisation en neonat de notre bébé prématuré.

Notre deuxième enfant est arrivé à nos côtés à 31 sa et faisait 1kg850. De ce fait, nous avons été 4 jours dans le service de réanimation. Mon fils était dans une couveuse, branché à beaucoup de fils. J’en ai compté une trentaine entre le scope, le masque à oxygène, la perfusion, la sonde…

Je retiendrai principalement dans ce service le bruit… En effet, c’est le service qui est le plus important dans la prise en charge de l’enfant prématuré. Une dizaine de bébés étaient dans le service et les machines ne faisaient que sonner.

Puis 4 jours après nous avons été en soins intensifs.

J’ai été un peu chamboulée car je venais de sortir de l’hôpital et je n’avais plus mes repères. Pourtant les soins intensifs ont été une révélation dans la relation mère-fils que je commencais avec mon petit. L’équipe n’était pas du tout la même ; très à l’écoute, j’ai pu faire les soins et tout apprendre pour m’occuper de mon fils malgré le nombre important d’appareils.

Chaque jour, j’arrivais vers 8 heures et je restais jusqu’à 13 heures pour m’occuper de lui et faire du peau à peau.

Mon conjoint, lui, arrivait l’après midi afin que je puisse repartir à la maison pour être près de ma Mini de 4 ans. De ce fait Titou n’était jamais seul.

Dans ce service, les pédiatres mais aussi les infirmières, ont été remarquables. Elles me donnaient toutes les informations nécessaires sans rien me cacher et avec elles, je sentais que Titou avançait.

Puis le 3 février, le jour de mon anniversaire, nous quittions les soins intensifs. Nous allions passer en néonat dans le service des pré-sortants.

Le choc, car le service était loin d’être le même ; une équipe bien plus distante qui ne répondait que vaguement à mes questions. J’ai très vite compris que si je voulais que mon fils avance, il fallait que je sois encore plus présente. Je suis donc arrivée plus tôt vers 7h20 et je repartais vers 14h30.

En étant plus présente, je pouvais l’aider à s’alimenter mieux au biberon mais aussi faire moi-même les soins.

10 jours après, je commençais à être de moins en moins patiente car mon fils n’était plus en couveuse ni en berceau chauffant et il était à deux doigts de manger correctement sa ration au biberon.

J’ai donc demandé à passer en hospitalisation à domicile, j’étais persuadée que près de nous, il allait avancer bien plus vite. Après beaucoup de papiers et un contrôle de notre domicile, l’accord nous a été donné.

Quel bonheur d’accueillir notre enfant à la maison et particulièrement après tant de jours loin de lui. Ma fille était aux anges et je pouvais enfin être près de mes deux enfants sans les laisser l’un l’autre en pleurs.

On nous avait annoncé une fin d’hospitalisation à domicile (had) le 27 mars, date à laquelle il devait naître. Finalement, au vu de ses progrès, nous quittons demain le 26 février le protocole de soin.

Le pédiatre se dit impressionné par ce petit bout de chou qui, près de sa famille, a évolué comme un chef.

Bien sûr notre parcours n’est pas terminé ; Titou est encore petit 44 cm pour 2kg470 mais il avance très vite et nous le soutenons avec beaucoup d’amour.
